Welcome

    Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm Cara, an elementary classroom and piano teacher residing in Mars, PA. I have been teaching piano for over 5 years and playing for over 20 and love what I do. I offer a well-rounded approach to the piano and make theory and technique a regular part of my instruction.

    How I teach:

I believe in setting the bar high and challenging my students to continue improving. I also believe that learning should be fun! I want my students to discover what excites them about music, which happens when they learn to appreciate the process, not just the end results...but those are pretty great, too!

    Who I teach:

I enjoy working with musicians of all ages, though my specialty is early and middle childhood (ages 5-12). Whether your child is just beginning lessons or is looking to continue his or her practice, I am here to help!

    Pricing and scheduling:

You may choose from 1 of 2 options:

    • 30-minute lesson ($35)

    • 45-minute lesson ($45)

Lessons are offered once per week and payment is due at the beginning of the month or at the time of the lesson. I accept cash and personal checks. Parent/guardian pays for music books.

Like what you see? Let's work together to get an initial session scheduled. That way, your child and I can get to know one another and I can assess his/her current level. Cara has been our kids' piano teacher for about three years now.  My children both adore her, and they have done very well under her direction. I have witnessed her handle difficult situations with my son, who has had some special needs, and she handles him unbelievably well. She is gentle, but firm with him, and has high expectations that she requires him to meet. Cara has managed to instill in my children a love of music, even through the drudgery of practice!  Both children have joined the band at their respective schools; I directly attribute this to the skill and confidence they have gained under Cara’s instruction. As the mother of a child on the spectrum, I cannot tell you how valuable this is to our family! We love her!
